Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great characters and story building

This begins with an explosion of action and since then on, it keeps going, fast and gripping. My big complaint is that it lacks scientific accuracy, which threw me out of the story more than once.

If you are looking for entertainment, and are not bothered by unrealistic science, this book is a good way of getting it.

Reversion, the final book of the Humanity's Edge Trilogy is, well, okay. It motors along at a fairly steady rate, we find out what happened with some of the earlier characters from book 1 we haven't heard from, the characters newly introduced in book 2 also have their subplots resolved and dearest Clay bumbles around a bit more.

It was an alright story, I don't think it was as good as the second book and have to say the ending seemed a bit hollow to me - after all the action, adventure and travel it seemed like a bit of a fizzler. That's not to say it ruined the book, not at all, I guess I just had higher hopes for how it would resolve.

Overall, a bit predictable but still a decent way to fill in time like a B grade film.

Clay, Alayna & friends return in the second instalment of the humanity's edge trilogy, this time around we also meet two new groups of survivors - Samantha & Malcolm, one of which acts decidedly not in the interests of Clay & friends. This contact builds throughout the instalment as Clay tries to trace his family.

Overall, it was a pretty decent book, certainly entertaining, however I found it a bit odd that they would drink water from a toilet that's been in contact with, you know, a toilet, rather than open the cistern and drink clean fresh water that hasn't. They also get a flat tyre on a wheel they intend to throw out but rather than just driving and ruining the wheel and getting where they want to go they instead walk providing a plot point - a minor niggle yes, however I did find it a bit odd with all the talk of protecting each other and surviving that they wouldn't just drive on a flat.

Asides for that, the trilogy's narrative definitely improves in this book.
