Elsie Parrish - The subject of this book was a distant relative of mine and I spoke with Helen Knowles while she was researching the material for the book. Elsie was caught up in a momentous event during the time of FDR's "New Deal" but, it appears, wasn't aware of its significance at the time. She wasn't given credit for the contribution in her own time and even her family, today, is not appreciative of her place in the History of the United States. It is a remarkable story and Helen Knowles did an excellent job of bringing together all of the pieces for this book.… (más)
