Harry's Lovely Spring Day is a whimsical, cute adventure for all to enjoy!

To begin with, the cover is absolutely stunning! Lots of bright colours, flowers, butterflies and a lovely font all mashed together make for the perfect eye catching cover!

The water colour trees that are the background for the acknowledgements and information at the front of the book are also a nice touch! It was very pretty and set the mood.

The story itself is about Harry (who is a cute, little mouse who lives in a box) during spring. His house blows away suddenly, and he has to deal with this tragic problem! Harry meets Katie, another cute mouse (but she has an umbrella, a bow and a rain coat!) and begins to chat with her. Harry learns how nice it is to help others in rough times from the cute mouse Katie. Additionally, he learns how to thank those who help him and the importance of being kind. The ending is super cute (but I won't spoil it for you).

The story is told through full pictures and circular ones. The creativeness and uniqueness of this idea really caught my eye, since I haven't seen a storybook told like that before! In fact, all of the colours were quite lovely and I really enjoyed the pictures. There was also a cute rhyming scheme (that was sometimes forced, but kids don't normally notice that kind of stuff) that carries on like a beautiful tune.

I would definitely want to read more in this series (even as an adult) because of how cute it was! The book is sweet, full of nice pictures, and definitely something I would want to read to kids! I could see this being a lovely reading buddy or bedtime read!

Five out of five stars!

I found this book on Bookbub!

Harry is a happy mouse because he helps others. On his walk, he helps a frog. The frog asks how he can repay him, and Harry tells him to help someone else. The frog does and helping others moves through the ones who have helped another. Seeing how it worked through others makes Harry happy.

I liked this story. I liked how Harry and each one after him helped someone else. I liked how they felt after helping. It makes a circle and Harry's wife shows him how his helping one animal then moved through the other animals. This story was fun. It rhymes. Your toddlers will enjoy the story and the illustrations. I look forward to more of Harry.

This story is okay. It has a nice message about doing something for others and not being afraid of the dark. But I wasn't really impressed with the writing style or the artwork.

Harry the Christmas Mouse by N G K, Janelle Dimmett (Illustrations)
Children's very colorful story about Happy the mouse and it's Christmas.
Hard to read some of the words as they are not uniform in size. Also some are using dark fonts on a dark background.
Love how he and his friends are able to save Christmas for others.
Other works by th author is hihglighteda t the end.½

I loved this book. A mouse shows kindness to a frog and asks him to pass it on. This continues through the book showing how helping each other and being kind to each other is the best thing of all. The author wrote the story in wonderful rhyme. This is an excellent book to read to your youngest child or grandchild, or just for yourself.

Beautiful illustrations make up for a too-simple story of a mouse on a mysterious moonlit quest for a chair, a pole, and a hat.

Harry the mouse makes a list and goes out on a night that’s “cold and it’s foggy./It’s dark and it’s wet and worst of all boggy!” in this third Harry Mouse picture book for young children and young readers. The same nicely whimsical font accompanies rhythm and rhyme with well-drawn, brightly-colored illustrations. The story draws very comfortably on its spooky theme, offering scary silhouettes in the dark that invite childish guesses before turning the page reveals the truth.

Children will also enjoy trying to guess why Harry’s collecting these strange items. While others remind him not to be scared of the dark, he seems to be planning something all his own “at 8./Don’t tell anyone and please don’t be late!”

So... two lessons in one book. It’s fun and a very pleasingly rhythmic read.

Disclosure: I found it on a deal.

Playing on the Santa’s stuck, how will the presents be delivered theme, Harry the Christmas Mouse is a nicely told story with simple rhythm and rhyme, appealing illustrations, enjoyable animal characters, and a wise theme of working together to solve big problems.

Familiar characters from the author’s earlier book—Harry the Happy Mouse—return, offering small readers an enjoyable first taste of story series. But the book stands alone perfectly as well and would make an excellent Christmas gift.

Whimsical fonts are used to tell a whimsical tale with smoothly pleasing rhymes in Harry the Happy Mouse. The illustrations have a hand-drawn, hand-painted feel, bright and cheerful, fitting the writing and the story perfectly. Rhythm and rhymes are unforced, language is simple, and the story's enjoyably wise.

“You shouldn’t thank me, just help someone too!/That will be better, for me and for you!” is a pleasing refrain as different animals face different dilemmas, each helping the other and moving on. A visually appealing story, with a nicely wise moral, and whimsically lilting rhyme, Harry the Happy Mouse would be a pleasing picture book to give as a gift and to treasure.

Harry the Mouse is asking his friends to borrow things then invites them to his home later in the week. It is scary walking in the dark to borrow the items. But it all turns out alright.

I enjoyed this story. It is good for the little ones with repetition and good manners. It is not too scary but realistic about what scares Harry.

Harry The Happy Mouse By N K
A colorful rhyming children's story about Harry the mouse and he likes to walk around meeting other animals. Very colorful.
The animals learn it is nice to help others who need your help and it makes you feel grand.
At times it is difficult to read the words because of the script used.
Other activities, games and fun pages are included at the end.

Harry The Happy Mouse by N.G.K is a cute little book in poem form for kids. It lets kids know if you help someone, they can help someone, and on and on. Lots of people can be helped by kindness. Cute pictures and good moral.

Harry certainly is a happy mouse and will put a smile on your face.
He lives with his wife under the bridge and loves to go for a stroll along the stream on a summer evening. On one of his enjoyable wee walks, he comes across a scared frog, who is stuck on a log in the middle of the stream. Harry doesn't think twice and offers his help and together the two of them make it savely back to dry land.
The frog is relieved and very grateful, but Harry suggests, the best way for the frog to show his gratitude is to help others in need, because simply, giving others a hand will make him feel grand.
And so it happens. The frog helps a desperate mole, the mole offers her help to a cute bat.
In the end Harry is a bit sad, as no one requires his help anymore, they are all happy now, all problems solved.
But, of course, no one wants to see Harry sad, after all he is The Happy Mouse and his friends have a lovely surprise for him in store.

Harry The Happy Mouse is a cute rhyming story, with the most adoreable pictures and a wonderful message, that a little help can go a very long way. My son (he's 4) loves the book. It's a little gem which parents will enjoy to read and share with their young ones.
Highly recommended.
