- He obeyed the gospel in 1932 under the preaching of Homer A. Gay. Immediately he entered the evangelistic field, preaching regularly. Bro. Fred Kirbo continued in the ministry until his untimely death in 1968 at a gospel meeting he was holding in Warsaw, Missouri.
