Khoo Kim Choo

I thought this poem book was good. I liked how the frogs were traveling downtown and there was a different poem for each place they went. I really liked the poem where it showed the different types of flats people live in. I like how the poem flowed especially when it said “Flats, flats, flats, we all live in flats. High flats, low flats, all kinds of flats.” I also really liked the illustrations. I thought they were very colorful and vibrant. I thought it was cool how they showed what was going on in each poem. In one of the poems the frogs went to the market to buy cookies and the illustration showed the market with the guy selling cookies and the frogs with bags of cookies in their arms. I also liked that poem because it was funny that the small frog kept saying he wanted more cookies when the big frog had a huge bag of cookies for them. I think the big idea of this poem book is to experience new things. Each poem shows the frogs experiencing a different adventure.… (más)
