While this book is interesting, it is mostly a self-help book, which I didn't really need. I admit I only read it because I was sort of expecting something more or less in the level of Marley and Me. In a way, it is. It shows how living with animals (not only dogs) and opening your heart and soul to them may help you improve your lifestyle. And while some ideas are actually pretty interesting (for an instance, I had no idea dogs had the ability to detect cancer through a person's breath), most of the book consists on the repetition of ideas and things we can find in any other self-help book: carpe diem, always look at the bright side of life, shit happens, things like that. The best characteristic of this books were the stories of how different animals (well, actually mostly cats and dogs) changed the lives of their "pet parents" (not to say "their owners"). Nice stuff if you need some motivation for your life and don't know where to start.… (más)
