King of Sting is an podcast style "audiobook" briefly detailing the exploits of Australian conman Peter Foster from his rise to prominence in the 80's to the relative present. Prior to this I had never heard of Peter foster and his schemes and found Justin's presentation of the information engaging and enlightening. It was a very engaging listen overall. However, I did end up wanting more in the end. More detail, more history, and just overall more of a deep dive on Peter. There are quite a few people interviewed that I wanted to know more about and white Peter's history was touched on I felt that it was in large part glossed over. Additionally for such a brief audiobook there was a lot of repetition of interview clips and information and it contributed to the feeling of wanting more. I feel there was more information to be had, but we kept only getting the same clips and information repeated.

Overall it was an interesting listen, but came just short of being amazing because of the lack of depth.

Aussie Conman Living in Plain Sight
Review of the Audible Original audiobook (July 2020)

There is a considerable amount of research put into this almost 6 hour true-crime documentary about Australian criminal Peter Foster, but the story feels unresolved with the conman still living in plain sight while likely hatching his next scheme. This might be his memoirs if a rel="nofollow" target="_top">June 22, 2020 article in the Daily Mail UK is to be believed.

King of Sting was one of ten free Audible Original audiobooks for members in July 2020. It is available to everyone for a standard price.
