What a delightful debut! If you like a book about a close-knit group of friends who will go to great lengths to ensure a friend's happiness, but also really like to tease each other - look no further. The LGTBQ+ representation is great. It's a light read with great puns, but it also has an important message about the difficult choice of coming out when the stakes are very high. They often are, but the more people stay in closet, the higher the stakes get... But it's also about being able to live your life fully and honestly to yourself. Can you really be happy if you are hiding something?

I also loved the portrayal of the realities and challenges of living in the current age ruled by social media: "If you can't multi-task in the twenty-first century you might as well be dead", as Riley put it. If you fall off the loop, you miss out - FOMO runs our lives. There are, of course, great benefits, but they also come at great costs.… (más)
