I found this to be an enjoyable read, light-hearted, fun, but thought the characters both seemed a little immature for their supposed age. They felt about 20/21 instead of nearly 30, I think they were supposed to be? And one was supposed to have a military background, I really didn't feel that influence in the story at all.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Clay has an attraction to Ezra back in high school and almost acts on it, but runs before anything happens and before he can consider how he feels about it. He continues for years in relationships with women, until he sees Ezra again years later after he becomes single again.

Ezra seems a bit flighty when the book starts. He has no direction, doesn't seem to really care about anything other than being on his own, but then doesn't seem to be able to take care of himself. When he goes home to help his mom (after getting fired for being flighty and not caring), he comes face to face with Clay.

There are immediate sparks of attraction, but Ezra has to wait for Clay to come to terms with things and decide if he wants to get involved with Ezra and/or come out of the closet. Ezra never appeared to be the type to want to hide back in any closet and he does struggle with this aspect of his relationship with Clay. I didn't quite grasp what it was about Clay that made Ezra want to stick it out and want him so bad. They did make it work, however. The reveal of Clay and Ezra's relationship was done in a somewhat unique way, and I liked the reaction of Clay's friends and co-workers.

This was a 3.5 star read for me, but I am rounding up to 4 stars.

I'm voluntarily reviewing a free advance reader copy I received from the author.

This book ties in with [b:Just a Summer Deal|31858985|Just a Summer Deal|Zach Jenkins|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1473244471s/31858985.jpg|52527672], and takes place shortly after that book ends. It was so great to see Conor and Aaron again. This time, Aaron's best friend moves to town and meets Conor's best friend. There are immediate sparks, even though Luke is "straight". The connection between Luke and Julian is strong, and I enjoyed watching them come together as friends and more. Luke's discovery of his sexuality was not a huge plot point; he finally decided to act on how he's felt in the past and it wasn't made to be a big deal. It was nice. I enjoyed this.… (más)

I loved this! Aaron is a playboy m/m romance author who is finding that maybe settling down wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Conor is a "straight" m/m romance author who is trying to fix up and sell a house to supplement his author income. The guys end up finding out they are in the same town and decide to meet. After Aaron's lease is let go, Conor offers to let him stay at the house, and they decide to co-author some books. Conor finds he has feelings for Aaron unlike any he had experienced before. Despite it being new, Conor didn't shy away from Aaron. Yes, he had to deal with the issue of coming out, but it was well done. I liked these guys together.
