This YA story immediately drew me in. We meet D005 as she is being forced into a compromising unethical position. Her decision puts her on the run with a temporary loss of memory. She meets a wonderful family who takes her in as she tries to recover her memories and identity.

This new author has done a wonderful job creating an interesting, although familiar story with very likable characters. I am taken in by D005 and her love interest, “Mac.” I really liked the time spent focusing on D005’s integration into this family as she struggles with PTSD symptoms.

At times the story was predictable, but overall enjoyable. I wished the author had used more of an active voice in telling the story. I think it would have made it even stronger. I really wanted to rate this book stronger and wish I could give it a 3.5 star rating, but due to the few issues previously mentioned, I am rating it 3-stars.

Anyone who enjoys YA romance with a twist of mystery and intrigue thrown in will find this story an excellent read. I will definitely be on the watch for the sequel to this book.

Ms. Jaster is definitely a very promising author for us. I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. This story kept me on the edge of my seat wanting Weston to have all the joys of living a real life, not the one meant for her thru the Delta Project that was set for her. The story pulls you in wanting you to ask for the next book in the series.
D005 has been trained to follow all of Commander’s orders. When she feels one of his commands is not the right thing to do, she disobeys him and is set up to be exterminated. Knowing that those before her never come back, she decides to take off and ends up injured only to be found by Bri and Reid. When Bri’s brother, Mac comes into the picture and they take her into their home, Weston is given a new name and feels she has a family she never had. But since her accident, she suffers from amnesia and has constant nightmares not sure if they are memories or not. She has a bond with Mac that they share silently but know they have similar connections to each other in loss.
I for one cannot wait till the next book comes out.
