This is a small format book from a small press. The book is hand made, bound in cloth, written, printed, published and bound by the author. It was a gift from a bibliophile friend.

The book is very short, and concerns itself with drawing analogies between the crafts of software engineering and book binding. The narrative follows the source code, in C, for a small game program. The program plays the classic children's game "Rock-Paper-Scissors". The author provides several connections between how software is constructed and how books are constructed. It is a very cute and amusing book.

It should be noted that the code given in the book for the rock-paper-scissors game is buggy and will not compile as is. Perhaps this is meant as an object lesson for the reader.… (más)
