Stone and Huxley are always fighting but it is a cover for their real feelings. Sophia's father has gambled the family's money away, so he arranges a marriage between Sophia and Stone. She likes Stone as she gets to know him, but she has loved Huxley since he rescued her from brigands years earlier. Both Stone and Huxley show an interest in her. What is she to do? Promised to one but in love with the other!

I liked this story. Stone and Huxley really do get into fights at balls. Sophia is afraid they will kill one another. Sophia and Huxley also have spiritualism in common which Stone does not believe in. Sophia reads her cards, but they are not clear for her. I liked that she has something in common with both men. Each can explore their connection with the other. When it all comes together, it is hot. I liked their solution. I also liked that they looked into the mystery of Huxley's family. It seems the acorn did not fall far from the tree. They secret was unexpected by me and the characters.

I look forward to more from this author.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

In the quest to complete challenges, I chose this book for my menage category. It was a little dirty, though frankly not too dirty and light. There was an attempt at a plot to keep the book moving along and the sex scenes actually stayed quite fresh. Considering this was erotica, I think that can be an impressive feat.

My usual issues with erotica exist. I don't understand the relationship between the two men. I understand Sophia's attraction to them, sure, seductive and powerful. How are they best friends though? Why? What benefit does this relationship have to Huxley & why can he afford to forego heirs? (And frankly, the historical aspect of this had very little to do with the book|) My usual issues with menage exist. I have trouble understanding the dynamic and why it works well for the three of them. Yes, Huxley was sweeter, and yes, Stone was more wicked...

All in all, an entertaining enough read about a "lusty virgin" and the two dukes who show her ecstasy. (Note also, this was a novella.)

Very quick read, I liked the story line, although I wish it had been a longer story with more conflict between the dukes and Lady Sophia before everything works out.

This review is based on a galley copy from netgalley, courtesy of the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I read a copy of this book obtained from the publisher from a NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. This book is a novella by Lorna James and while I thought the story had some ideas and plot points the would have been better served by a longer book it does deliver everything promised.... Two hot Dukes, a lusty Virgin and some very steamy MMF scenes.
