I liked how this steamy time travel story was told going beyond the falling in love stage to the adjustments and challenges of living together. I also enjoyed the humor and secondary romance. Archaeologist Maya and her friend fall through time to 1314 Scotland on McGregor land with laird Thomas.

Read it the same week I saw the new Time Machine movie. Exciting things do happen in different times and places. Story involves two anthropologists, Maya and Sara from Tampa, FL who are asked to assist in the cataloguing of the ancient relics of the MacGregor Castle. Both women are drawn to men they are researching and one day during a hurricane are transported back in time 700 years to Scotland.

As soon as they arrive, the MacGregor men show up. Laird MacGregor is drawn to Maya and she to him. This arousing tale is about two different times meeting and the angst between a virile and stubborn Alpha male and a just as headstrong and aggressive female. The writer moves you through their antics with smooth dexterity. There were times I was laughing on the floor.

Maya and the Laird realize their destiny and swear to each other undying love, great sex, and faithfulness. Maya makes the decision to stay in the Laird’s time. The bond between the two spans the ages and begins a legacy of strong leadership to the MacGregor clan.

I recommend this book for its sexual tension and humor and also recommend any other book written by Jaid Black.

The story centers around two Florida women involved in anthropologist research on a castle belonging to Scottish family in the 1700. A hurricane hits Florida and they are swept up in a fierce cloud that transports them conveniently back to said castle. Yes, pretty far fetched, but not as far fetched as when two other characters travel from 1700 right back to Florida to get somethings and catch a hurricane back to the Scottish castle just at the right time. But other than that stretch of the the imagination, it is a fun read. The Scottish dialog is great, the romance is fun and the sex is graphic but all handled in a loving situation. I laughed and was turned on by the love scenes.
I do wish there could have been more suspense and a deeper story plot, but this is, after all, billed as a time travel erotic romance. I think the author could have done without the second time travel incident, or perhaps given us more of how the Scottish characters handled being in a 2001. But I would recommend this book if you are looking for a good humored very sexy love story for some light reading. I definitely will be lookiing forward to reading more of Jaid Black's books.
