This book examines the Apollo program through the lens of the Hasselblad cameras that accompanied each team of astronauts on their lunar missions. Readers will discover the challenge of creating a camera capable of working in space and see some of the resulting photography.

Apollo 11 crew left their three Hasselblad cameras on the moon, returning only the film magazines, with more than one thousand photographs, to Earth. Many of these photographs are included with mission timelines and transcripts of conversations between the astronauts and Mission Control, creating a unique and compelling commemorative of man’s first steps on the surface of another world.
