. . .oh heavens, these disasters - I expected a bit of anxiety and uncertainty, to be sure, but I was a little surprised by the depths to which it was taken. Though not in a bad way and definitely not in a way that felt 'too far' for how they were handling their issues.

Misuzu is a mess, trying to hold herself together and to protect herself, especially after having no way to process and move past the blow from her last boyfriend . . . and at first Mikage seems so very much more together - but only at first. His own issues may be largely driven internally, but he has certainly wrapped up in layers of anxiety.

By the end I was wincing for them, and cheering when Misuzu suggested that they needed to discuss things relating to sex openly and honestly, no matter what, with one another, yes, great job! Also a far better resolution than I had expected . . . or, well, promises towards a resolution; I look forward to seeing if it is in the next book.… (más)
