I Miss You Most by Cassie Hoyt is an adorable picture book all about missing someone.

This is a great picture book filled with colourful illustrations that showcase the feeling of missing someone. It can be read as a story of grief or simply missing someone who is far away. I think this can be an excellent resource for your little ones if they are learning about this sometimes awful feeling of loss. Thinking about the time spent together and the wonderful things you can do together is a great way to manage this feeling.

To add to this review since I have since received a physical copy of this book in the mail - OMG it's beautiful. The electronic copy is awesome (don't get me wrong - I loved it) but the physical copy is so beautiful. The colours are bright, vibrant and luscious. The vibrancy of the beautiful illustrations and how much they stand out really does it for this book. I highly recommend grabbing the physical copy if you get the chance. Seriously, it's one of my new favourite childrens books because of how beautiful it is. Not only do you get a beautiful and important story, but you get a beautiful book as well.

Five out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tellwell Talent for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I also got sent a free physical copy in the mail for review purposes - Thank you a million times over!

This is a short sweet rhyming tale of creatures and critters that do what comes natural to them...HATCH! From snakes to alligators, turtles to birds, there's a new scaly or feathered friend on every page to delight and educate. Just think of it as Biology Lite for wee ones...hey, you might even spark the baby budding scientist in your midst! If not, at the very least, the readers and the audience will still have a rollicking good time guessing just who will be hatching next and be at the ready to stare right back at the curious little guys!

It's a Picture Book we never thought we would need for a generation that needs it more than they even realize.

This brightly colored, whimsically illustrated book helps remind little ones that yes, we may be apart in distance, but we are still hand in hand within our hearts. It suggests the use of imagination to have adventures while we stay safe. It makes a case for all the fun to be had virtually or across the wires as we help stop the spread of this pandemic. It gives little ones that extra ray of hope that one day our new norm will be in the past and we will once again be able to gather with those we love with less fear of putting them or ourselves at risk. It quietly asks us to do our part to make it to a better tomorrow...and in light of everything that has happened, and the progress that has been made thus far, I truly don't believe it to be too much.

Were you looking for a book for your child last year to explain the different way life is for some time and still going on a bit for now with Covid? Well “I Miss You Most” by Cassie Hoyt has come to mind. I would have read this one earlier in the year if I received it earlier. That's okay I read it now. This book reminds me of the Covid 19 lockdowns and might be able to help children with the stress of distancing.

This book deals with the emotion of missing your loved ones that are far away. It is a good one all around. It might help the social distancing we have to deal with. It works for distance in a general manner rather than just a specific time.

The illustrations are beautiful. This book also deals with child imagination. It also shows that distance is not a faraway thing. You can call your distant relative as well to stay in contact. The rhyming in this book is just good. I do not all rhyme though. Think of all the things you can do when you see that loved one next time.

I love the way this book is done and can be used at any time. The plot can be used for any type of distance like a friend that lives far away or down the block. Good for bedtime reading as well. Parents will want this on their child's or children's bookshelves.
