The late Mason Houghland settled in Brentwood, Tennessee, near Nashville , where he started the Spur Oil Company. He founded the Hillsboro Hounds in 1932 & served as Master & Huntsman. He founded the Iroquois Steeplechase in 1941. He died in 1959. (Bowker Author Biography)
