Elaine Horseman

I so wish that this book was not out of print, it blows modern "magic" books for children out of the water. Set in a perfectly delicious old English house, complete with hidden passages, it has all the elements for a marvelous read: magic, mystery, quirky characters and a delightfully English writing style. Elaine Horseman wrote 2 other books (actually 3 but the 3rd was lost as a manuscript and never printed) about the Hubbles before illness sidelined her career. I can't wait to track them down too!
