Wow! This is a tour-de-force of a novel. The author has provided a wealth of information on science and human behavior that is encyclopedic and yet completely accessible to the reader. The novel compares favorably to The Martian by Andy Weir, but with a love interest. Laurie, the blue alien heroine, is a complex character with a fresh view of humanity, as well as a rich cultural background of her own.
