A good view of what fighting in Korea was really like. This group of British soldiers fought back & forth on the peninsula in winter conditions. The descriptions of the cost to the Korean civilians is heart rendering particularly the incident of the women who cut a hole in the ice on a river and slide her baby under the ice to drown because she already had two children she was having difficulty feeding.
