Excellent historical examination of the question of whether the Biblical canon is open or closed, as discussed by religious divines and scholars in the seventeenth through nineteenth centuries, mostly in Britain and American colonies / states.
The question centers on whether revelation ended in Biblical times, or was on-going, and experienced by some of the questioners and others.
Copiously referenced and foot-noted, but still easily understood, a good combination of scholarly research and accessible writing style.
The only odd thing to my mind is that there is no discussion of Trinitarian doctrine and how that might influence the existence of "modern" revelation.… (más)
