- Michele Hill lives in South Australia with her husband Larry and their two adult daughters Emily and Sophie. A part-time registered nurse, she continues to practice to 'feed my obsession'. Michele began her quilting journey in 1986 and has been addicted ever since. She started designing her own quilts in 1996 with William Morris and architecture being her greatest inspirations. Each of her applique patterns have a strong connection to one or more of Morris' original designs. She teaches throughout Australia and is passionate about encouraging her students and fellow quilters to create original desings and share their passion for quilting with others. An award winning quilter, Michele is a member of the Quilters' Guild of South Australia Inc. She is currently involved in their annual exhibition and also encouraging children - our future quilters. www.michelehill.com.au

Yum. I do like to look at books and dream. And this book taught me a few things too. For example - did you know that the Art Gallery of South Australia has one of the biggest collections of original Morris works outside of Britain? Another reason for me to visit Adelaide!! Fine food, fine wine, fine friends and fine art!!
