This is the end of G. Willow Wilson's run on the book and while I found the video game ending weird, there was a couple things I really loved that I had been waiting for: Kamala coming out to her friends (and of course they already knew, hence their actions in vol 9), and Bruno coming out with the L word. In fact, my favourite thing was Bruno coming to terms with what his future could look like, with some help from Professor X. There's a weird flooding story that brings us to her family and leads to a big development in her brother's story but it felt lacking to me.

Overall, I love this world and look forward to seeing where it goes next.

The bad guys are really bone-chillingly evil here. I like how Gwen deals with them.

This issue does a great job gracefully combining several different plot threads.

I really like the Benji plot in this issue. And Gwen's voice is great.

Tionde delen av Ms Marvel är den sista som skrevs av G. Willow Wilson; det kommer komma fler historier, men av ny författare, Saladin Ahmed. Då är det passande att närmare hälften av det här albumet ägnas åt att vandra runt i den värld som skapats och indirekt säga adjö.

Först har dock Kamala ett par andra saker att klara av: ett pyjamasparty som avbryts av, i tur och ordning, Lockjaw och en teleporterande katt, ett pizzabud vars arv från utomjordiska förfäder är att hon luktar skunk, samt Spindelmannen som behöver hjälp. Inget är speciellt svårt, men understyrker hur svårt det är med hemlig identitet.

Huvuddelen ägnas sedan åt en ganska underlig historia där en mindre superskurk tagit sig över floden, vilket leder till ett underligt äventyr med maskhål och tidsresor och andra bisarrerier, samtidigt som Bruno försöker lista ut varför hennes krafter beter sig underligt med hjälp av en Professor X-emulering. Ganska knasigt men ibland på ett roligt sätt.

Sedan kommer en underlig episod satt i forntiden med några av Kamalas och hennes vänners förfäder, som jag inte ser mycket poäng i. Inramningen är rätt fin, dock.

Sedan kommer avskeden: först en översvämning i Jersey City, där diverse av Kamalas vänner turas om att ta hand om hennes brorson medan hon försöker stoppa vattnet, och sedan en trip in i en symbolisk tv-spelsvärld där Zoe, Bruno och Nakia förvandlas till bossar Kamala får besegra (genom att inse var svagheterna i deras vänskap varit) innan de kan lämna den och det blir kramkalas. Inte speciellt allvarligt, men fint avslut på en era.½

I like Gwen's new friends and the plot twist at the end. Very concerned about what's going on in her home reality. Wish there was more plot per issue!

A great setup for a series, with lots of opportunity for things to go sideways for our protagonist. I like the supporting cast.

The last trade paper collection in G. Willow Wilson's writing run on Ms. Marvel. The end of an era! Not the best installment in the series, but a fitting goodbye from Ms. Marvel's creator. As she says in the afterward, the magnificent Ms. Marvel will most certainly outlive her creators.½

I had been a little meh about the last few volumes, but this one really renewed my love for this whole series. It really shows the stress of being a teenager, sometimes there are scarier things then fighting villains, like keeping secrets from your friends or trying to come to terms with your crush. Kamala Khan fights off the bad guys while navigating friendship, family, the future, and compassion. Cute while still being totally kick ass!
