Hadn't read this in years although one of my very favorite books of all time. Still holds up fairly well, except for one pet name BoJo uses for xxx that is totally out of character for a scared but honorable 17 year old high schooler.

I have read this book more than once with the first time being years ago. This was written in the late 1960's when teenage pregnancy was dealt with much differently than it is today. That being said, the feelings of the characters are real and would likely be similar to young people who find themselves in a similar situation now.

I saw this book on the shelf at the library today and had a flashback. I read it...well...before 2007 but it stuck in my mind as not having any chapters. Nowhere to logically stop so you can go to bed.

Otherwise I don't remember much about it, except that the story must have been engrossing to me.

Old Children's Book. Liked it as a kid, but haven't read it in years.

When July realizes she is pregnant, everything changes for Bo Jo and her. They decide to get married. When they tell their parents, no one is happy. The couple must find a way to navigate their new life together and grow up fast - even though they are only 16 and 17.
Being pregnant means July can't attend high school and Bo Jo loses his chance at a football scholarship when he leaves school to work. The lifestyle in the book felt dated.
The couple must decide if they can go back to their old lives and leave the marriage behind or if they want to continue on together, despite the struggles they may have.½

Teenagers in high school that end up pregnant. He is a high school football star and she comes from a well-too do family. It is about they handle the pregnancy and their solutions to the pregnancy. It is written from July Greher's point of view & I felt like she sometimes just rattled on about nothing.
