Biografía breve
Sven Hauschke studied history of art in Augsburg and London. After his dissertation on the tombs of the Vischer-foundry of Nuremberg, he jointly planned the exhibition Quasi Centrum Europae at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg, where he conceived the section on globes and scientific instruments. A research project on the scientific instruments of the goldsmith Wenzel Jamnitzer (1508–1585) followed. At present, he is editing the “house-books” of the Nuremberg “Zwölfbrüderstiftungen” with more than one thousand portraits of craftsmen from 15th to 19th century for a web-publication in a co-project with the municipal library of Nuremberg and the Germanisches Nationalmuseum.
