The one advantage that this book had over [b:Don't Let the Republican Drive the Bus|13330353|Don't Let the Republican Drive the Bus! A Parody for Voters|Erich Origen|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1344368580s/13330353.jpg|18537988] was that this book actually had a plot. The disadvantage this book had, was that it attempted far too much in too little a framework.
While this book was satire, the satire was too blatant and overt for it to be truly effective for me. The needling seemed too childlike, and the plots too mixed for me. The satire would be far more effective if it was split into two books (one about the zombies, the other about the nuclear war) that viewed the subjects as less humorous and more.. well, as the threats the world would perceive them as.
While humor can be an effective tool in politics, it seems like most satires just don't do it for me. I'm sure more neo-conservative people would enjoy this sort of book, and judging by the bulk of the reviews here they have been. For me, I think I'll stick with my [a:Hunter S.
