I am giving this 3 stars because Silken Savage was entertaining, in a wacky, it's not supposed to be funny, kind of way. Total ridiculousness (not that some parts weren't serious and violent). Not a keeper!

Not sure what to say about the 470 page Night Flame. The basic premise was a good one, but parts were just too fantastical (such as the psychic heroine, who had a lot of convenient visions). I'm not going to go into it (almost never do!), but if you are looking for NA romance that has some historical accuracy or detail, this probably won't be your thing.

After a plane crash on a deserted island only 12 people even leave the plane but how many will leave the island? Between injuries from the crash, island perils, and threats from other survivors there is a lot for them to overcome. The story just sucked me right in from the start and kept my attention the whole time. Lots of humor throughout the book as well. I will be reading more Catherine Hart in the future! :)

This historical romance set in the wild west had lots of action but it was kind of unrealistic. The heroine initially acted more like a ten year old and I almost quit reading but I did finish and overall it was an enjoyable story. Marshall Travis manages to catch the youngest outlaw Sam after the gang robs the bank.

A plane crash onto one of the hundreds of remote Polynesian islands leaves 12 people fighting to survive. Though sold as a romance novel (which it is) this book is about more than sex, love, and finding true love. How do we survive catastrophic events? What happens (initially) when rescued? The book loses a star for some rather improbable situations.

My favorite romance novel of all time. Spurred my interest in the real historical figure of Jean Lafitte.

The first real novel I ever read. Got me hooked on historical romance at 12 years old. In my opinion, Catherine Hart's early books were among the best historical romance out there. Although formulaic, I didn't feel as if I was reading the same book over and over. This one includes lots of adventure and you really route for the couple to get together.

This was my first romance novel. It was also my practical sex ed at 12. This is one of the turning-point romance novels when they started being really, really silly and seeing that women liked it even better than the serious historical novels of the past.

The plot is as follows: Gallant pirate Devlin ""Devil"" Kane has been struck by St. Elmo's fire rendering him unseen, but not unheard, by everyone except Eden Winters the heir to a warehouse somewhere in the Caribbean. When they're touching, he can be seen. The book revels in it's ridiculousness and complete lack of historical accuracy regarding pirates.
