I listened to the author on NPR many decades ago and put this book on my mental wish list. In preparation for a large quit, and to round out an order that wasn't quite $25, I finally committed to reading about all the different kinds of quitting. The term that stuck with me from the interview was "quitter's euphoria" — which I have felt many times, and which is the best thing ever. So the book contains a definition and an explanation of the phenomenon of quitter's euphoria, but there are also many hilarious quitting techniques, such as "make a scene," "fail and disappear," "quitting before beginning," and a surprisingly Buddhist chapter on quitting the search for happiness.
