City Making in Paradise : Nine Decisions That Saved… por Mike Harcourt
An interesting read for the history but, reading in 2022, many sections are sorely out of date. In the 15 years since this book was published Vancouver has become an unaffordable city, pushing out diverse communities and killing its culture. I can’t help but wonder if that’s down to the self-congratulatory attitude shown in this book by its politicians. It’s also worth noting that First Nations land issues occupy a paltry two pages at the end of the book. Hardly sufficient given BC’s troubled history.… (más)
