Poignant story of real-life victim soul of the Sacred Heart of Jesus--a young woman of the Midwest who quietly offered her tuberculosis suffering and death, for an S.V.D. priest, during the 1930's while she was in a health asylum. He met her before her death, this young, heroic, Red Rose of suffering who is presented as "Gertrude", but who in actuality was Margaret Nosbisch. This small booklet so touched me on a day of my own higher pain level, and I benefited from the inspiration as well as the reminder of how a soul must suffer with and in love, for Christ, in Christ and for others.
