I loved this book. Once I got past the annoying word and writing differences they used back then I fell in love with this book. I have read more books about the American Revolution than any other topic hands down and I have never had a better understanding of what the public in general felt about the wars and the times. In this book it felt like I was reading newspapers right from the 1700's! Thomas Jefferson had made scrapbooks full of poems cut out of newspapers on numerous subjects including nation, family and love. He compiled of this for his granddaughters who he loved greatly. It took me a long time to read it as it is over 500 pages and you have to do a little translating but it was well worth it.… (más)
