Extremely brutal book, lots of bad things happen to a lot of people, not for everyone. Ex CIA agent Christopher Wren has been broken by what he has done and what has been done to him. He spends his life keeping his collection of psychopaths from falling over the edge. As long as they pass for normal they earn coins. Over time they learn self control or he reinforces his control and they start over again. They need his support to function and he needs them to hold on to. None of them are the least bit normal. While making the rounds he stumbled across a group threatening race war. Using his cult of losers he tracks this group and is captured by them. More torture and beatings them a race to the end. Absolute full out riveting action.
