I'm glad I only spent $2 on this book. It doesn't, as they say, do what it says on the tin: all you'll get, after more than a hundred pages of whining about panic attacks after getting lost and attempts at explaining what is meant by "spatial reasoning," is a list of coping skills for people who will, of course, have to resign themselves to getting lost for life.

I don't know if there's a book out there that can actually help you gain a better intuitive sense of which way something is, or make it so those who don't know what room is above their heads (I never do) suddenly are able to figure it out without trying. But this book certainly isn't it.

I reserve 1 and .5 stars for the wretched books of the earth, and this isn't it. But I don't recommend it if you're actually trying to learn how to not get lost - if you haven't figured out little tricks that will make it less traumatizing and disruptive, though, the book is of some help. And can, as I discovered, be found at a major discount.½
