I really enjoyed this book because there were interesting facts being presented without the reader actually knowing that they are learning. The language is descriptive and clear. The story is easy to follow and provides information about bugs and insects and shows that being knowledgable about a subject is a good attribute. Prunella shows her class and her teacher that her knowledge of bugs saves the day. She did not let the people that were ignoring her to discourage her feelings about bugs and what she knew about them.

Prunela loved bugs and tried to tell everybody about them but nobody wanted to listen. She couldn't wait for show and tell day. When it finally arrived a queen bee had flown into the classroom and nobody know what to do. Prunella got out her lunch and with a slice of bead and jelly she got the bee to follow her to a hole in an old tree. Afterwards that she explained about bees and everybody listened carefully even when she did her show and tell. Great book for discussing peoples hobbies and interests as well as a part of an insect lesson.

Cute story about a girl's passion for bugs saving the day. It takes what made her "weird" and makes it a positive quality.½
