- Elizabeth Susanna Davenport was a daughter of John Davenport, a wealthy wool merchant and draper, and his wife Elizabeth Eade. In 1791, she married Thomas Graham, with whom she had six children. She wrote two popular books, Eighteen Maxims on Neatness and Good Order (1817), a book of etiquette for children and teenagers, published under the pseudonym Theresa Tidy; and the humorous Voyage to Lacuta (1818), under the name Lemuel Gulliver, Jr. With her children, she also wrote a weekly paper of stories and poetry called the Family Chronicle.
