DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: From USA TODAY bestselling author Alexa Grace, Deadly Offerings is a novel with pulsing passion and razor-sharp suspense. It is the first adventure in this sizzling suspense series.

Anne Mason thinks she'll be safe living in the Midwest building a wind farm. She may be dead wrong. Someone is dumping bodies in her corn field and telling Anne they are gifts--for her!

As the body count rises, Anne realizes a cold-blooded serial killer is patiently waiting and watching her every move. And he won't stop until he ends her life. It is clear there are no limits to this killer's thirst for revenge or how far he will go to get it.

After a nasty divorce, Anne Mason does not want to get romantically involved, especially with ex-husband's attorney, Michael Brandt. The ruggedly handsome new County Prosecutor is the last person Anne can trust, but may offer her only chance at survival from a psychopathic killer. But will she survive the passion that rages between them?

enjoyable, good plot, Michael does start the relationship in a stalker like fashion. More on the supporting characters would have been nice.

An awesome read! High- Octane, thriller. This is Book 2 of the "Profile" series, can be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend reading book 1 "Profile of Evil".

PROFILE OF TERROR by Alexa Grace is an intriguing, high-octane Romantic Suspense. #2 in the "Profile" series, but can be read as a stand alone. Although, I would highly recommend reading book 1, "Profile of Evil".

This is tale of murder, psychopathic twins (which we find in the beginning of the story, disposing of the body of a young prostitute(they are known as Gamers),a sociopathic serial killer (known as Master),a missing ex-girlfriend, a Private Investigator(Gabe Chase), who is a suspect in the girlfriend's disappearance, a former Federal Agent/Profiler(Carly Stone),Jim Ryder(former deputy sheriff) and Gabe Chase's brother, a serial killer from "Profile of Evil"(Book 1) and you have a high-octane chase to find the three villains responsible for the murders, before even more victims are found, naked and disposed.

Fast paced, thrill-ride, with a couple of passionate love affairs, a few murders, and you find yourself on the edge of your seat as you read "Profile of Terror". This is a definite thriller, a suspense, with a romance or two,and a few twists and turns along the way. You do not want to miss this tale of terror, love and suspense. Ms. Grace is a wonderful storyteller, she know police procedures, human flaws, add in a little mystery, lots of suspense and just the right amount of romance and you have a thriller/suspense that has people dying for, literally! Love this series! Keep them coming, Ms. Grace! I look forward to the next installment of the "Profile" series, coming in 2015. For a top notch thriller with plenty of suspense and romance, pick up PROFILE OF TERROR, you will not regret your choice of reading material. Received for an honest review from the author.

This is the start of another dynamite series by Alexa Grace. There is a deranged serial killer going after teen girls. Sheriff Brody brings in profiler Carly Stone to help catch the killer. The author does a great job with her details regarding the evils of predators on the internet who go after children. You can tell she did a lot of research on the subject. This story has drama, suspense and romance and keeps you on the edge of your seat. They are looking for a missing teen and racing against the clock in hope to find her alive.

Brody was forced at a young age to raise his younger brothers when his mom died so he is not looking for anything more than a one-night stand. However, Carly shows up and he is not so sure of what he wants. He knows he wants her but is he willing to risk it all on romance and go for more than a one-night stand?
Carly has been hurt in the past and getting involved with the sheriff is the last thing she expects. However, the chemistry between them is undeniable. The sex scenes are hot and romantic.

The author brings in several of the characters from her Deadly Trilogy and it was nice to catch up with those characters. She also introduces his two brothers Gabe and Cameron which will be featured in future stories.
If you like romance with action then this is definitely the book for you. Alexa Grace definitely has another winner!

Deadly Deception is the second book in the trilogy and secondary characters Frankie Douglas and Lane Hansen from Deadly Offerings are the protagonists in this story. The author provides enough of the back story from book one for readers to learn about the history between Frankie and Lane without necessarily having to read the first book in the trilogy. Of course the read is much more satisfying if you read all of the books in order.

Frankie and Lane have spent one passionate night together, but his actions toward Frankie afterwards lead her to believe she was just a one-night stand. However, six months later, Lane still can’t stop thinking about Frankie and wants to have a second chance with her. Unfortunately, Frankie is unwilling to forgive Lane and does her best to avoid him.

Frankie is a private investigator, and, with her military and police training, she proves she is more than capable of taking care of herself working in this field. Lane has recently made detective and when a young woman is found murdered, Lane becomes the lead detective in his first major case. His investigation leads him to suspect a corrupt adoption agency is involved in the murder. As a way to spend more time with Frankie, he talks her into going undercover with him as husband and wife to find the murderer.

While some aspects of the story are predictable, I found this easy to overlook because of the ongoing mystery and suspense that grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let up until the end. I also liked that, unlike with some murder mysteries, the author spends time humanizing the victims, so readers can’t help but care about the outcome of their circumstances.

The sexual tension between Frankie and Lane really spices up the story, and even if Frankie can forgive Lane, their working together poses an obstacle, since workplace romances are heavily discouraged.
This mystery behind the murders does reach a resolution without a cliffhanger that carries over to the third book, but the author entices readers to continue with Deadly Relations, which features the story behind two characters that play a role in this second book.

Each book in this trilogy just gets better. Deadly Relations is my overall favorite. While I enjoyed the first two novels, this book ‘s storyline kept me hooked. This story has some jaw dropping, surprising twists that I certainly didn’t expect.

This isn’t a “whodunit” mystery. Readers discover early in the story the identity of the serial killer, so the majority of the read is to find out who will become the next victim and how this overconfident killer can be caught.

There are three point-of-views used to tell the story: the police detectives Jennifer and Blake who have a strong attraction to one another, as well as the antagonistic murderer. Having the killer’s perspective explaining what drives his motivation to kill only increases the complexity of the story and heightens the suspense.

Jennifer is a strong, gutsy character and very likeable. Blake is a wonderful partner for Jennifer in more ways than one. I did find the violence in the book gruesome and sometimes hard to get through because the detailed description of the torture the victims endured.

This is a great trilogy for readers who enjoy mysteries full of romance and suspense.

Anne is soon to be divorcee, a newly invested wind farmer, and the focus of a deranged killer who keeps leaving 'presents' in her corn field. Michael Brandt has come to save the day, well she thought he did until she realized he was her ex's lawyer. But that didn't keep him from pursuing Anne and getting caught up in trying to save her and fall in love with her.

I had to write a warning review because this book does not live op to the ratings hype. I struggled to read this and finally just gave up. This book does not flow and the characters are very one dimensional.

For instance Anne this supposedly super savvy lady and super sharp does the following:
1. Getting attacked outside a bar and rescued by Michael and acting all tough. I found my pepper spray now. Ya you did after Michael pulled the guy off you and you had time to rummage in tout purse.
2. Super smart Anne is about to have the judge rule in her favor and they take a recess where she gives the gambling jack butt of an ex 650k and has to sell her business to do it. Ummmm real business people do not do that.
3. After the carjacking they talk about weeks passing, then Michael is out at the farm and checking her face to see the fading bruises? Weeks is plural and she had to move so at least 2 maybe 3 she really shouldn't still have a bruise.
4. The wind farm thing. 1st it irritated me on 2 areas. When she first talks about it she tells Daisy she is going to do it but she hasn't researched it yet. Why would you say you were doing something that you hadn't researched? Then at the meeting the guy asks what she knows and she whips out some 3 sentence generic sound bite that I know and have done NO research and he is all ohhh I see how smart you are ....ummm a 4th grader could have said that.
Also Anne suffers from super hot syndrome where she doesn't know how pretty she is but every guy eyes her like "a chocolate chip cookie" really I kid you not that was from the book. Or in her case they wouldn't. Mind mixing business with pleasure. Trite!

There are more lots more instances and I am in the first twenty percent of the book. I am giving up. This author writes at maybe a freshman level and good for her for trying writing...but I am not giving op any more time trying to read this drivel.

Anne is in the process of a divorce. Her friends take her to the bar to let loose a little bit and she sees a handsome guy across the room. She is instantly attracted, but not yet ready to jump into the dating scene. Then she sees him again – in court as her soon to be ex-husband’s attorney! And wait, he shows up again and again! Michael is showing up everywhere, and seemingly always at the precisely perfect moment.

Anne and Michael are a power couple in the making. There is great chemistry, a great sexual tension, and enough drama to fill a …corn field. It’s a good thing that Michael is as persistent as he is, because he is definitely going to need it with the relationship-shy Anne. Messy divorces can do that to you. But every time these two are around each other you know it’s meant to be. I really loved how Anne is always first on Michael’s mind. He is tough and strong, yet caring and sensitive to her emotions and needs. Anne, on the other hand, began to become a bit frustrating. She is obviously attracted to Michael, but she ignores all of her own emotional and physical cues (not to mention his) and keeps thinking of him just as her ex’s attorney. Like come on girl! Get it together and kiss him!

This book has a really great mystery, with just a touch of horror in the form of a serial killer. I was really happy to see I was wrong (repeatedly) about who the killer was. That is definitely something I always appreciate when it comes to a murder mystery. The serial killer is super creepy and it seems like they are always one step ahead of the game. But then this story has so much more into it. There is a budding romance building. Not to mention another that will spin off into the sequel.

During the beginning of the book I felt it moved a bit fast. The number of events that happened in just the first chapter was quite high. But it quickly begins to even out and it turned into quite the page turner. I finished this in two days and I thought it was a really good story. I definitely recommend this if you are into romantic suspense novels!
