I have chosen this book only becuase of the synopis. It sound good and frankly i do not care that it is a YA book. I am reading the ebook. On the first page of the book, you are told that there is something strange going on, she sees a man standing and the horse shied etc. for the next many pages, it was meeting boyfriend, having sleepover with some friends, going to a party, dont like the party etc. The writing style was that of an 17 year old. yes i am aware it is YA and the character is 17 but that does not mean that a book needs to be written in the style of 16 year old girl. I had to stop reading the book because i felt that after 7% of the book, a bit more should have been introduced and not just boring everyday stuff. I hope it would be good but i will never find out. Maybe my 17 year old daughter likes it. I cant say that i did not like it but the maturity level was definitely not there and there are many YA books that are simply amazing, I honestly dont see why i should be wasting my time with a book i cant get into when there are so many other books await me. I am glad that it gets a lot of good reviews from other readers.

Absolutely loved this book! Received an ARC for an honest review and OMG, great continuation of a character who I loved from Emily's previous series and the intro to a wonderful new character! Ana and Coles relationship pula at the heart strings! Can't wait until the sequel to see what happens to these two!

Loved loved loved this book and HATED to see it and the series end. Thank you Emily for wrapping up a great story line! Anna and Cole's relationship...talk about routing for a couple! So wish there was more to the story....highly recommend the entire series!!!

Loved it! Another one that the minute I started it, I couldn't put it down...lots of late nights...I didn't want it to end. I liked the tiny connections to her other books....Quinn and Scarlett!

The connection that Sierra and Chase made in this book was quick, but heart warming. As in her other novels, Emily likes to make the reader wait...will they, won't they....and that's a good thing! She never pushes the characters together too fast. I cannot wait for her next book!

Omg, great story. Loved these characters...and talk about conflicts! Though I have a feeling Quinn and Archer are going to be alright! Just need the second book to prove my point!!

More more more....was a crazy and twists tale. I felt as conflicted as the main character! What to do? Who to choose? Where's the sequel!? Thank for you this crazy and fun ride!

Love this series, Love this family! I start Emily's books and finish them in one sitting...and this book is one that didn't disappoint. The characters are so well crafted and natural, it's almost as if they are people I know. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book about the Dawson Familly!!!

Absolutely love this series. So happy Emily wrote more paranormal stories! The characters of Cassie and Lucas are amazing and the reader falls in love with them immediately! Of course the cliffhanger was a SHOCK! Can’t wait for the next one!!!!

Emily never fails to surprise me. She writes and develops characters that grab your heart in the first few paragraphs. Harper & Alex are two characters that will stag with me always. Each of them are like an onion, peel away the layers and you see the pain and struggle. These characters were meant to be together through this connection. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

What a great way to end this series....although a series about Rory's family, especially the brothers, would be great! Rory & Dean were definitely meant to be together. They balance each other out. I like how they were both hesitant to jump into anything serious and wanted to make sure that the other was "The One". It was nice revisiting the rest of the Dawson family! Next up Rory's family!!!

Just when I think I have everything figured out...bam...Emily throws a wrench into my thoughts. Love Callie and Lucas...another great story. Eliza is so much cooler in this story...she’s growing on me. Love the dynamic between Callie her father, uncle and cousin. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

I absolutely LOVE this series...and I KNOW I cannot wait for more! Lucas and Callie are wonderfully written...as a reader you want to fight for them! I’m glad things are moving forward for the two of them (no spoilers!!!) Julian is a kick, the budding romance between Kristi and Evander has me rooting for a book about them! I so want to learn more about Callie’s mother and her relationship with Michael..can’t wait for the next one!!!

Another hit, sucked me in from the start. Just when you think Callie couldn’t get anymore badass, boom! Left me with so many questions!!!! Angels and werewolves and witches, OH MY!!! I can only imagine what is going to happen in the next installment!!!

Once again, a great book. I love Chloe and Sam and how they fight to be together. No matter what gets in the way. I love how Chloe is a metaphor for the author and how she brings in her own writing experiences into the novel. Would love to see more about sam’s family and more of the people of Eastwood.

Amazing new series by Emily. Intriguing. I love the characters, a strong, Independent witch and the vamp who falls for her. Once again, she doesn’t disappoint. The side characters are great...would like to see more of their stories too!

ARC. AMAZING! To learn about the connections to the Thorne Hill series blew my mind. I loved both Anora and Ethan although I’m very curious about his connections with the Order. I look forward to seeing if the Anora crosses paths with Callie, as she did in her memories from when she was younger. Cannot wait for the next book in the series!!!

Wth…amazing, made me cry, yell, cheer and want to punch a wall…I need book 9 yesterday!

A great spin off

I am waiting PATIENTLY for Annora to meet Callie. The twist at the end of the story was a nice surprise. The secondary cast of characters, now her friends, were a nice addition. I need more Grim Gate like yesterday!!

Oh Nora and Jack....you had me from the first page! What an absolutely wonderful story...I didn’t want it to end! Emily has knocked it out of the park AGAIN! No spoilers but I would love to see more of these two characters again!

Took me about thirty seconds and I was hooked....great characters, great plot, not a YA, more adult...looking forward to the next in the series....a couple of late nights staying up to read this! Couldn't turn off my iPad!

Absolutely love this continuation! So many nods to Callie and The Thornhill series. It’s just a matter of time until these two queens come together! I’m never let down when reading this series. Annora may be lost since she had her memories taken away but she’s finding her way with her love Ethan and her friends. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

DNF. So, bored at 51%, I skipped from one chapter to the next, reading first lines.

At...least it was quicker?

There's nothing thoughtful or surprising, nothing to pull me into liking either character. The writing isn't terrible, but neither is it interesting. Even at free, it cost too much for me.

Contagious started a bit on the slow side for me. I will fully and readily admit that I am not generally a fan of the zombie apocalypse and that whole post-apocalyptic setting. I really had mixed expectations going into Contagious, thinking I either would really not like it or I was going to fall in love with the zombie thing all over again.

Honestly, I have come out of it with kind of mixed feelings. I still think that the story was enjoyable, and granted a 3.5 star rating, but at the same time, I am still not sure what my feelings are.

I found Orissa a little irritating in the beginning, but she kind of grew on me, too. Orissa reminded me of myself. She is a no-nonsense, "I can take care of myself and don't need anyone for anything" kind of girl. But, she also is a bit clumsy and doesn't always think before she acts, so she finds herself in a myriad of precarious situations! That is so me.

I teared up in some parts where there were very dramatic scenes, and I am not a crier so that is saying something. The drama, suspense, and unspoken romance will pull you in a little, and if you are anything like me...well, I am just sitting here shaking my head and asking how the author could have ....okay, have to stop myself before I give it away.

So, you have to read the book, because I am not gonna tell you what happens or anything. The story was well written and the characters are fleshed out really well, and I think the author is going to go big places. While I had mixed feelings going in, and still am not sure, I do want to read the rest of the series and see how it ends!
