Henry G. Gole

What an odd book, not a biography, not a memoir, more like reminiscence's or as the Author describes them observations. I enjoyed the book, the descriptions of his growing up and his war service were the best. He included some political observations which just confused me as I couldn't work out if he was a Liberal or a Conservative, he seems a mixture of both. He has some critical things to say about the US Army, the good is more implied than stated. Mostly the observations are about the men he served with, many of the tales are bittersweet. Funny and at times contemplative, worth a read.… (más)
