A cool book about a White Heron who at first is a hatchling, then starts to fly. She goes to a new beach but some gulls fight her out. She gets blown to a new land. She feeds, but there are none of her kind. Suddenly more of her kind are there! (Read the book to find out more)

This is a beautiful book which still excites me. The coloured illustations are matched by Key illustration pages which numbers all the plants, birds and ins ects in the pictures. The landscape background is around the Dunedin coast - Otago Peninsula.
