The Evolutionary Glitch (rise above the root of your problems) by Dr. Albert Garoli

If you are looking to get to the root of all of your problems and find your life path, this author has formulated a theory that you will want to read. Dr. Albert Garoli is a practitioner and teacher of traditional Chinese and oriental medications. This book provides a clear detailed description of our evolutionary flaws, gives exercises and techniques we can use to get rid of these flaws, so we can resonate with our life’s goals.
This book will show you how to express natural inborn tendencies and the positive effects that a rebuilt conscious mind has to offer. It will provide concepts ad life changing models that anyone can do, with practice. The author has merged major fields of human research, while explaining it in simple ways for t reader to understand.
For example, one principle is the actual state of our health, welfare and success which is the result of our past actions, with our over medicated society, rather than looking at what brought us our conditions and stopping those bad behaviors and attitude, we silence the symptoms with chemicals.
We are taught to know our own bodies and rather than to be conditioned to distract our focus for what really matters to get results in healing the right way.
The key: in order to heal, you must not cure the symptoms but the temperament.
In this book, you will discover which of the six major types of personae you have and be able to free yourself from the power it has over you. I highly recommend this book for anyone who needs to be living the life of their dreams and wants to get results in healing and learning about the human body and what makes us tick.

“The Evoluntary Glitch: Rise Above the Root of Your Problems” by Dr. Albert Garoli is a self-help book to help you learn how to stop the negative patterns and how to find the real you. Dr. Garoli has an extensive background including practicing and teaching of Traditional Chinese and Oriental Medicines, Ayurvedic medicine, Acupuncture, Biophysics and more. From his extensive research in biological learning models, Dr. Garoli believes that many of our behavioral issues can be traced back to an evolutionary glitch that allows traumas in our lives to manifest in a Persona that actually is harmful. According to Dr. Garoli, “rejection causes compromise, which leads to the development of a Persona.” His book, “The Evolutionary Glitch,” helps the reader to identify their particular Persona and gives them exercises that will help purge the Persona and allow the person to live a fuller and happier life.

Through Dr. Garoli’s writings, it is clear that he definitely knows what he is talking about. Some of the areas he covers are:

It All Stems from Your Attitude

How We Become What We Are Not

The Brain Trap

Coping Strategies

Mind-Opening Exercises

This is not a book that is meant to be read front to back in one sitting. I tried that when I first started reading and it soon became overwhelming. Taking it a chapter at a time really helped. I definitely found Dr. Garoli’s research interesting and I liked how he presented his information, starting with the first chapter where he describes your “stance,” which is basically figuring out where you are in life regarding your where you live, what activities you participate in, your family and friend relationships, your employment, and your home and community. I don’t know if this book was what I was hoping it would be. It did seem overwhelming at times and does require a leap of faith. I have no doubt that those who follow this will end up feeling different about themselves, most likely feeling better. Perhaps I will go back to it in the future and give it another go.

First of all, anytime you choose to delve into brain functions you are in for some deep study and thought. It is no different with Albert Garoli's "The Evolutionary Glitch" because he takes us deep within neurobiology and quantum physics. Combine that with ancient wisdom and modern psychology and you get a thorough understanding that our emotional, mental and physical health is driven by social conditioning and learned experiences.

For example, Garoli states that social conditioning "can generate a sense of inadequacy, low self-esteem, doubt, anxiety, frustration, stress, and a myriad of other negative outcomes." In response to these results we create a "neural mask" aka Persona. The strength of the Persona is dependent on the pain, fear, or resentment that is ingrained into the being.

Garoli claims there are six different Personas: Ephemeral, Grinding, Controlling, Egocentric, Rebellious, and Minimalist. He gives a thorough explanation of each behavior. After getting to this point in "The Evolutionary Glitch," I was deciding, like I'm sure all readers, on which Persona I was. But, with abated hesitancy I read "the Persona you have identified as yours is not YOU." Garoli further explains our job is to challenge ourselves to overcome our Persona because it is only a mask we created due to circumstances.

Once we understand which Persona needs adjustment, we are encouraged to do exercises provided by Garoli. The exercises are intense and it is suggested we take several weeks to do each one. The importance of this is to retrain the brain and free oneself from the Persona.

There is so much more to this book! Garoli provides a developmental program and understanding that is time-sensitive, cutting-edge, and a forerunner in the field of neuropsychology. Our society is finally grasping the fact that our behaviors, actions, and thoughts are driven by our internal conflicts. Albert Garoli, in "The Evolutionary Glitch" gives us the insight needed so we can make the changes within ourselves and create our own world that is problem-free.
