This book is a great book for boys who want to learn how to sew. It has a lot of good patterns that are very "boyish." I would recommend that this book go along with instruction from someone who knows at least the basics of sewing or the child take a class before using the book. There are some small, but important, details that are left out due to, I can only assume, the author's previous knowledge of sewing.
