Found this set of books in a local thrift store. The art was so amazing that I literally could not resist! (Especially since the store charges .25c per volume for hard covers). What a gorgeous set of art work (done by 40 some artists, let me add).

My local book seller managed to find a pristine set for me, back in the days before the internet. It both broke my heart and cheered me to open them and realize they had never been cracked open before. Nice to have them in like-new condition, but sad that the previous owners had missed such richness.
Oh, I had to get my own set because my parents had 11 children and we were expected to share the one set among us and our own children.… (más)
