even if these weren't repetitive i'm not sure i'd like them much anyway. this isn't my thing, skipping all of the story and character development and setting and getting right to "the good part." i like reading about sex, when it's in the context of a greater story it can be great and sexy and arousing. but to only read about that part, it's missing a lot for me. some of these were alright and kind of hot, but more of them were missing too much for them to be.
maybe if i'd read one of these a day or something i would have appreciated them more. but i doubt it. i have only read a few collections of lesbian sex stories, but every time i do they seem to be almost wholly focused on patriarchical, dominating, violent, and sometimes even unwilling - so rapey - sex. (the ones in this book toed that line but mostly didn't cross it, but they were way too close for my comfort.) each of these stories was more or less the same thing again and again - slapping, surprise fisting, sex in public, or utterly giant dildo fucking, often anally for the first time "with a look of fear in her eyes." also, poor writing and typos galore.
but it's most important to me that this read like a book written by and for straight men, not for lesbians.
