This is a collection of small poems, many of them really short and very reminiscent of Emily Dickinson. Most poems draw on nature for their images and themes, again a lot like Dickinson. The poems are simple, light in topics, calming and beautiful. Even though these ideas, rhythms and rhymes were new and startling in the past, they can still influence teen-agers today and set them on the path of poetry. The drawings, created by the author herself, and the poems all have an innocent, tranquil and eternal quality, nothing from the present day stresses, worries and problems. However, if one is looking for an escape from all that, this collection could provide that escape.
