I just LOVED The Red Diamond and the girl wizard named Inman! She lost both of her parents in a car crash, but she was raised by her grandfather, who is Chief Wizard and the butler who thought of her as his own. Inman is now off to college and she plans to spread her wings by not having anyone to watch her while her grandfather kept repeating the Wizard's Code of what not to break, but she fell in love with a human anyway, then lying to a wizard quickly followed and Inman was on a slippery slope on a downhill slope!… (más)

This definitely goes on my list of books with great opening lines (I know this is a short story, but my point still stands). The fairies were cute and very Disney-esque. A very good-versus evil end to a series that started with falling in love. I won't spoil the ending, but it was my favorite story out of the five!

OK - you knew from the start there was going to be some tension as Iman and Troy planned their wedding. After Iman's grandfather became sick things got a little more interesting. I loved the tension of Iman's quest and the beauty of the garden. I'm dying to know what happens next so I'm off to read the final installment!

I loved the opening of this book. I like the idea of the gods being embodied as different colors. The challenge they presented Iman was odd but made for an interesting plot. Things of note: don't mess with the Gods, and love and magic don't mix well. A holiday story that follows Iman's journey to win back her love and correct her mistakes. Short, easy read that took me less than two hours.
