M.A.C. Farrant

Simple, easy to read and well written memoir of MAC Farrant. But I'm not sure it really provides any real insight into her or her writing, and it certainly offers nothing to the genre of biographies. In short, little happened to her when she was growing up. A child of divorce (admittedly at a time that wasn't particularly common) with an absentee mother, Farrant is raised by an aunt and has fairly typical conflicts of childhood/teenage years. At the end of the book I was left wondering why she felt it was necessary to write it...or why a publisher felt it necessary to put into print. Not bad, just pointless.… (más)
