The late Edward Ensom was a lifelong angler who for more than three decades enriched angling literature - especially the coarse fish section of it - by his numerous articles and books. Among his many publications are Roach Fishing; Coarse Fish "Briefs"; Dry-fly Fishing for Chub, Dace, Roach and Rudd; Baits and Groundbaits, and he wrote several chapters for the Lonsdale Library volume Fine Angling for Coarse Fish. His contributions to these pages represent almost the last of his writings.
