L'incroyable histoire de la médecine por Philippe Bercovici
A funny way to present the history of medicine with accent on more than what worked and when was it invented (for many things much later than I would have thought!) but also on what wrong beliefs were held and how society was influenced by and influenced the development of medicine. Reading the book makes you realize how far we have come and how hard is to develop knowledge, but also how many things are still not solved.
At times this is very French and some of the information needs a glossary. This doesn't really tell you much science, but keep in mind the subtitle "history" because you get a good look at the history of medicine. Reading this during Covid was interesting due to the fact it talks about plagues and some ideas that don't really work vs ideas that actually work. Warning: This is very critical of religion and I don't mind that at all. I wish this talked about Covid though, but this is already a long comic book..… (más)
