Most histories of the Congress of Vienna talk about politics and meetings and treaties. This one talks about everything else, making it much more interesting. Balls, concerts, banquets, clothes, rental apartments, romantic (or just sexual) relationships ... What did you want to know about the way the heads of Europe spent their time that winter? The writing also easy to read, although learners may have trouble with some of the original quotes.

Habsburg - Die schönsten Residenzen por Hannes Etzlstorfer
Ein prächtiger Band, der sich nicht darauf beschränkt, die Residenzen des Hauses Habsburg in architektonischer Hinsicht darzustellen. Vielmehr wird auch den Personen, die die Gebäude einst mit Leben füllten, große Bedeutung beigemessen, wird der historische Kontext beleuchtet.
Abgerundet wird dieses Werk schließlich durch die reichliche Ausstattung mit überwiegend sehr guten Fotografien.
