Despite the typos, I found this novel intriguing. It was very violent at times and some of the plot twists felt a bit forced, but overall it was entertaining.

In a world where everyone has a twin that can feel and experience the same things if you could figure out how to control that connection you could have power. That is the world that [Mike Essex] creates in [Tethered Twins].

Twenty-one years ago an event happened that caused billions of deaths worldwide. Now England is divided into the 'haves' and 'have nots' but they all have the common thread of being tethered. Emmie experienced the torture, and death, of her twin Will. By all accounts she should be dead but instead she is about to become a pawn, and possibly savior, in the battle to control the world.

I enjoyed this story. It fit into the dystopian genre with a different twist. I am hoping to get to read the second installment [Tethered Souls].

This how-to-do-it book does not contain a list of companies or organizations to request free stuff. The main audience is a blogger that want to develop a methodic way to barter a review for company products. It is also provides helpful steps for any person trying to sell a product. An inherent problem not discussed by author Mike Essex is how to find a balance between what is offered and what is gained by both parties.

Mike Essex gives the reader a very vivid description of what is going on in every scene. He draws you in so you will want to know what happens next in this dystopian adventure set in an alternate future where every baby is born with a twin, sharing a tethered link from birth. The only catch; if your twin dies you die too.

A quick, cheap read if you are into dystopian adventures. I would say this is geared towards older young adults due to violent content. Lots of twists and turns in the plot.
I definitely want to read the second book as the author did leave it open. Can't wait to see what happens to Emmie and The Deck.

Characters were likable, but I really did not understand R's role as his lung was punctured. I thought he would have dies, given the details. If not at Vlad's hands, then later as he ran. Not sure how you can run with a punctured lung.

I received an electronic copy of this book in exchange from the author on LibraryThing for an honest review.
